One relationship.
A new direction.
A calling to go.
We’re Tim and Beverly. An unexpected friendship in Costa Rica changed the way we saw the need—and the way we imagined our future.

The heart behind the mission · Hear directly from us
Before there was a ministry,
there was a friendship.
What began with one relationship opened our eyes to people living in circumstances we could no longer look past.
Over three years of ministry involvement and relationships in Costa Rica, the need became personal. We came to believe God was calling us to be present more consistently—to walk alongside people, build trust, and help open doors to a different future.
Divergent Life grew out of that calling.
A shared life. A shared calling.
Married since June 9, 1990, we bring years of ministry, business ownership, and mentoring to the work ahead.
Tim Cannady
Tim is an entrepreneur and former youth pastor whose ministry included serving at Locust Grove First Baptist Church in Henry County, Georgia. His 40 years in automotive detailing include six years owning Divergent Elite Detailing, a high-end boutique detailing shop.
His passions are to teach, influence, and lead—meeting people where they are and helping them discover their next steps with the Lord. His mentoring has grown from discipling teenage boys to helping team members develop in business, finances, and life.
Beverly Cannady
Beverly owns Contract to Close, a real estate transaction coordination business. Alongside Tim in student ministry, she mentored young women and offered a steady, caring presence.
An avid reader and student of the Bible, Beverly builds trust through consistency, compassion, and commitment. People find in her a safe person to talk to and someone willing to walk alongside them.
Our shared heart: love people, meet practical needs, earn trust, and mentor those ready to grow. We want to create disciples rather than dependence, helping people develop skills, greater independence, and a growing relationship with Jesus.
A calling that grew through relationships.
Beverly served as a summer missionary in Mexico during college. In the late 1990s, we began taking mission trips together to Venezuela, deepening our love for Latin America.
Years later, a dental trip brought us to Costa Rica. An unexpected friendship opened our eyes to struggles shared by many—and a calling to respond through love, consistent presence, and practical opportunity.
Walk with us into what comes next.
Pray for the people we will serve. Share the journey with someone who needs to hear it. Give to help make the work possible. Your involvement helps bring hope, opportunity, and freedom to people facing exploitation and trafficking.
