Divergent Life is a Christ-centered ministry serving in Jacó, Costa Rica. Our mission is to bring hope, opportunity, and freedom to men, women, and children affected by exploitation and trafficking through the transforming love of Jesus. Our work begins with presence. We go where people are, listen, and make room for honest relationships to grow. Trust cannot be demanded or rushed. It grows through consistent care and respect.

Connect: build relationships that make room for hope

Exploitation and trafficking are complex realities. We do not define people by what they have experienced. We seek to know each person, recognize their strengths, and walk alongside them as they consider what could come next.

Grow: create practical opportunities

Hope grows when people can see real options. Divergent Life works toward practical pathways that include mentoring, education support, skills development, meaningful work, and discipleship. These opportunities are part of a longer journey toward greater independence, purpose, and freedom.

Lasting change takes time. A short-term visit cannot replace ongoing relationships. Most mission teams stay for 3–7 days, though longer stays may be possible.
